A Van Vorst House built in 1742 by the family (now on Palisade Avenue) is considered to be the oldest building in Jersey Heights.The Heights mostly contains two- and three-family houses ,and is similar to North Hudson.
Jersey Heights is fun for kids because of it’s parks and has a very old history too.Pershing Field is a city square and park in Jersey City Heights. Pershing Field is a park which offers green space, baseball fields, a swimming pool and ice-skating rink.Pershing Field also serves as a memorial park for servicemen since World War I.The Heights used to be part of the colony of Pavonia,New Netherland but now it is not.

Kirkwood and was started in 1856 and opened in 1861.57 people died building.
Central Avenue
Central Avenue runs north of Newark Avenue near Five Corners to Paterson Plank Road.When it enters the Heights, it becomes residential for a few blocks, as it passes the and Pershing Field.After that it becomes your regular shopping street. Central Avenue ends two blocks north of the 32nd Street.

Riverview Fiske Park along Palisade and Ogden Avenues, is a neighborhood on the east side of the Palisades which offers views of Hoboken and the Manhattan skyline.Have you heard of the Barrow Mansion?The Barrow Mansion is located at 83 Wayne Street between Barrow Street and Jersey Avenue.It was constructed by Cornelius Van Vorst.There is also Pershing Field,and Lincoln Park.
White Manna and White Mana are the names of two fast food diners in the New Jersey. The White Mana, located at 470 Tonnele Avenue in Western Slope in Jersey City is a historical landmark, as well as the first Manna to open and was the 1939 World's Fair building.
